Massage
I use three different styles of massage.
Energetic massage is a
very soft and gentle way of massage. There is no pressure on the body
or muscles, just a touch. This type of massage is very energetic and it
works on the meridians, chakras and aura or energy field of the body.
Although there is no pressure, this type of massage is very relaxing
and releasing on a deep level. A massage like this is particularly
suitable for babies, young children, elderly and people in their last
stage of life, but also for anyone in need of an energetic impulse or
energy release.
Classic massage or deep
tissue massage is a massage style using pressure on the muscles,
tendons and ligaments. It is a method to remove waist products out of
the body. It stimulates the blood circulation, lymphatic system, nerve
system and the muscles and joints.
There can be a variety of reasons why a massage is needed. Muscle
and/or joint pain, stress, injuries, relaxation, or simply because you
feel the need for some physical attention. A massage is always
relaxing, while also increasing vitality, strengthening the lymphatic
system and simply making you feel good.
In general I combine the massage with the use of essential oils. This
gives an extra dimension to the massage and amplifies the effect.
LOMI LOMI
In Hawaiian
this means; one who massages. Lomi means; rub, press, squeeze.
Lomi lomi
is a part of the traditional Hawaiian healing culture. Herbs, prayer,
meditation, it is all a part of this healing system.
Aunty Maile
taught me the lomi lomi, according the style of Papa Kalua. Aunty Maile is a
Hawaiian, born and raised in the traditional Hawaiian culture.
During an
intensive training I have learned this massage style. A very important part of
the massage is the breathe, “HA” or life energy. But above all; love the person
like it is your own body who receives the massage. You can sense this as the
Universal energy, flowing through your body. Lomi lomi heals body and soul; it
connects with your true self.
